PUNCH 196 for Jackie Maire Portman-Brown

Serving the community is both an honor and a duty for Jackie

I believe that the skills and experiences that I received as a seasoned attorney and former Judge with 23+ years of legal experience will make me an ideal candidate for Judge. I was born and raised in Englewood Community and still reside within the 5th Judicial Subcircuit. The Subcircuits were created so that the underrepresented communities would have a voice in the judiciary. I am that voice and will bring all my experiences with me to the bench and being a part of the Englewood Community is a huge part of that experience. I am one from the community that I will be serving.

Honor

Serving the community is both an honor and a duty for Jackie. She is dedicated to upholding the law fairly and compassionately.

Service

With over 23+ years of legal experience, Jackie has long served the community. She has consistently advocated equitable justice for all and fought for underprivileged groups, such as the diversion programs she collaborated on, which gave non-violent felony offenders a second chance.

Fairness

Jackie is committed to equal justice, compassion, and fairness for all people. She believes that everyone deserves their day in court, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to see judicial representation that reflects the community.
